Our history begins in 1922 during the war and the population exchange between Greece and Turkey. That year, Kostas Michailidis after he and his family were expelled from Adrianoupolis, they found a new home in Rodolivos of Serres where he made a new start by opening a bakery. Later, the circumstances of the time forced him to move to Thessaloniki where he opened a bakery at Kleisouras St. in Downtown Thessaloniki.
In 1960 father and son opened a second store right next to the first and many Thessalonians used to have their breakfast there.
In 1968, Giannoulis Michailidis closed down both stores downtown, as the business had turned to wholesale and the space was not big enough anymore. So he opened a dough workshop in Ampelokipi, Thessaloniki, the industrial area of the city of that time.
His clients, among others, were canteens in various camps of the Hellenic Army, the Hellenic Air Force in 113 CW, and many school canteens.
In 2005 our company, Foccacia Dough Products, was founded, in Lakkoma, Chalkidiki. Our clients today are bakeries, patisseries, and mini markets in Thessaloniki, Halkidiki and the Aegean Islands.
